Amani United is a partnership among residents, community stakeholders

COA Youth & Family Centers helps Milwaukee children, teens, and families reach their greatest potential through a continuum of educational, recreational, and social work programs offered through its urban community centers and rural camp facility. As a multicultural agency, COA values diversity and cooperation, and promotes growth and positive social interaction. Hephatha Lutheran Church has stood at the corner of Locust and 18th Street in Milwaukee for 100 years. Pastor Mary Martha Kannass accepted a call to Hephatha Lutheran Church in the early ’90s and twenty-one years later, Hephatha is an important community anchor in the neighborhood working to make the community safer and healthier.

The Milwaukee Community Development Block Grant is used for housing rehab programs, special economic development relating to job and business development, and public service programs such as crime prevention, job training, housing for homeless, youth recreation programs and community organization programs.
